Greetings from my Minute Suites room at my home airport in Nashville! I’m not lucky enough to have a fancy card-issuer lounge here (yet), so I thought it wasn’t worth getting a credit card for lounge access.
It took some coaching from my fellow TPGers to navigate the ins and outs of access and learn which card would get me the best perks I could utilize.
If you’re like me and don’t have a strong airport lounge presence in your home airport, you may struggle to choose a credit card for lounge access — or wonder if it’s worth getting one at all.
Or, if you have multiple types of lounges in the airports you frequent, it can be just as confusing to know which one you should prioritize.
Gone are the days of just needing a cobranded airline card with lounge access or one that includes a Priority Pass membership. With the recent additions of Capital One and Chase Sapphire lounges to the landscape American Express previously dominated, the choices can feel overwhelming. And when you start to factor in other airport experience benefits, the decision becomes even more convoluted.
