We’re planning a year full of exciting content that will entertain and help you travel better. First up, remember to check out the links at the bottom for a curated set of articles chosen by me in each newsletter.
Next up, something urgent. I just talked about this on my Instagram because you only have until midnight tonight (Wednesday) to take advantage of Virgin Atlantic’s huge sale offering 20% off the points needed for award tickets for almost all routes in all cabins, including Upper Class.
Time to binge!
I’ve been hard at work creating some super-fun videos (if I do say so myself). Our exclusive behind-the-scenes AvGeek series “Airplane Mode” has continued to roll out, and I’d love it if you binged our latest episodes, which include our look at the future of travel with Wisk’s self-flying four-seat air taxis and the world’s wildest beach runway that disappears twice a day to the tide in Barra, Scotland. I also pulled back the curtain on British Airways’ first-class service.
I’ve been a fan of hotel loyalty programmes for many years, and I especially love the ability to use points for free nights in hotels without the taxes and fees that have crippled many airlines’ redemption options.
What’s even better is when these loyalty programmes expand in unexpected but rather fun ways.
Hilton Experiences has done just that in announcing two new partnerships with the BRIT Awards and the Professional Tennis Players Association.
Available right now on the Hilton Experiences portal, you can bid to attend the music industry’s night of all nights, the BRIT Awards, with a series of packages up for grabs.
Maybe I’ll see you there?!

Finally, it’s a huge week at TPG with the release of our 2024 Travel Trends Report. Here you’ll find our expert team’s insights into where travellers are going, where they’re staying and how they’re getting there. You’ll even have some stunning graphics to keep the most visual of learners like me entertained.
