A new year is nearly upon us, and it is expected to be particularly good for northern lights viewing thanks to intense solar activity, per the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Just a quick refresh: The aurora borealis — better known as the northern lights — forms when electrically charged solar particles collide with the earth’s atmosphere.
You can see the lights from select parts of the continental U.S., Iceland, Alaska, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Canada and Scotland, to name a few — and even a cruise.
That’s all from me for now. I’ll catch y’all again soon!
