TPG’s Aviation team spends all year tracking new airline routes. All of the new routes are important to someone, but — let’s admit it — some are more exciting than others.
What about the quirky routes? Niche semiprivate carrier JSX thinks there’ll be enough demand to fly from White Plains, New York, to Boca Raton, Florida. And Newburgh, New York, now has nonstop service to the otherworldly Faroe Islands in the remote reaches of the North Atlantic.
And nearly every U.S. airline (and Air Canada) is beating down the door to add flights to the brand-new airport serving Tulum along Mexico’s Riviera Maya.
Every traveler likely has a new route (or three) that stands out to them, and our Aviation team is no exception. We’ve put together our list of the most interesting new routes coming online as we head into 2024 — and we’ve also singled out the nine new routes that we’re personally excited about.
