by Andrew Kunesh, Senior Reporter, Cards & Loyalty
The Chase Freedom Unlimited launched a promotion for double cash back for new cardholders in mid-October. Chase will automatically match the cash earned (with no limit!) in the first 12 months of having your new card. But TPG readers have messaged us to say they aren’t seeing those double earnings hit their accounts.
Regular cash back earned on the Chase Freedom Unlimited should post to your account shortly after each billing cycle closes. But double cash back is only awarded at the end of your first year, per the fine print. Give it about six to eight weeks from the end of your first anniversary.
Be patient, and if you don’t already have a Chase Freedom Unlimited, consider applying. This is one of the best offers we’ve seen for the card, and we don’t expect it to last for long.
That’s all from me for today. I’ll catch y’all tomorrow.
