Those are some that made our short list of the most exciting new airline routes to have launched so far in 2025. Sure, there are more to come, but the year’s halfway point seemed like a good time to look back at what had us talking during the first half of 2025.
Maybe we missed it altogether? One reader questioned why we left San Diego-Amsterdam on KLM off our list — and it’s hard to argue against its inclusion. If you’re looking for one thing we can agree on, it’s that those of us who travel a lot tend to get excited when we hear about new routes coming to our favorite airline or airport.
Thankfully, there are more interesting new launches to come. If we were to pick the most exciting route of 2025 (check back in December for that), one of these could still make a run:
Even beyond those, new ones are coming all the time — including these new route drops just in the past week and a half! Washington to Kingsport, Tennessee, anyone?
