But the most intriguing new routes belong to United Airlines, which is adding two new countries — Thailand and Vietnam — to its route map. However, neither of those will be served directly from the U.S., with United’s network planners turning to a creative strategy to push the carrier’s route map farther into Asia.
By far the biggest one comes from Air France, which began flying its new La Premiere first-class seat to New York this week. La Premiere is very hard to snag with miles — and very expensive to buy — but it’s considered one of the best in the sky.
