As ThePointsGuy.com continues to grow I've learned that much of our success is due to having many hands on deck. Next week we are welcoming our first ever Editor in Chief, Zach Honig, and would also like to bring on a few summer interns to help with our day-to-day tasks.

TPG SUMMER INTERNS

JOB DESCRIPTION (EDITORIAL)

The editorial summer intern will monitor travel industry news and brand announcements, research various topics and write daily news posts for the site with a quick turnaround time. The editorial summer intern will also work alongside the social media summer intern to review and respond to reader website comments.

JOB DESCRIPTION (SOCIAL MEDIA)

The social media summer intern will assist in managing TPG's various social accounts, posting content and engaging with our followers throughout the day. The social media summer intern will also work with writers and editors to evolve TPG's social strategy, and will work alongside the editorial summer intern to review and respond to reader website comments.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work from our Downtown NYC office up to five days per week
  • Excellent organization, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Social media knowledge, interest in online communities
  • Working knowledge of social platforms and applications
  • Knowledge of points and miles is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Experience working on a college news website or other editorial team preferred
  • Teamwork mindset
  • Love of travel
  • Natural curiosity of the world

TIME COMMITMENT

Up to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexible hours. Anticipated start date is June 1, 2015 through August 28, 2015 (flexible).

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS

Interns will be paid biweekly at a rate of $18 per hour. There are no other benefits provided.
