Get 20% credit back with select gift card purchases during Amazon Prime Day

It's the most wonderful time of the fall: Amazon's Prime Early Access Sale. TPG has been keeping a close eye on all the deals and best ways for our readers to save during this special sale period.
We just spotted one noteworthy highlight: $10 Amazon credit back on select $50 gift cards.
Although the sale officially runs Oct. 11-12, some deals aren’t available for the full 48 hours. Not to mention, quantities are limited, so if you’re interested in this offer, you’ll need to act quickly.
As a reminder, these discounts are available exclusively to Amazon Prime members. If you’re not currently an Amazon Prime member, you can sign up today for a free one-month trial to take advantage of the sale. Additionally, Prime Student allows college students to receive a free six-month trial membership.

How to unlock gift card deals
This deal basically adds free money to your Amazon account for buying gift cards. Here's how to take advantage of the limited-time deal.
- First, add a minimum of $50 on a single gift card from participating retailers to your Amazon basket. Participating brands include Amazon, Panera, Gap, Fanatics and DoorDash.
- Enter the promotion code listed on the promotions page at checkout. (The code for Amazon gift cards is NEWGC2022; others vary by retailer).
- Sit tight and wait for your promotional credit reward to post to your Amazon account. Amazon is currently saying this process will take two days (meaning it will post after the Prime Early Access sale is over).
For all but one of these gift card deals, you'll receive a $10 reward for a $50 card purchase. However, for DoorDash (code DASH22) you'll need to purchase a $100 gift card, and then will receive $15 in credits to your Amazon account. (You can stack this with Chase Sapphire Preferred and Reserve DashPass benefits for free delivery, too.)
Some of our favorite options include the "Yay You!" card, which would make a great housewarming gift since you can redeem it at AMC Theatres, Bed Bath & Beyond, GrubHub, Athleta, Dave & Buster's and BJ's. The "Happy Holidays" dining gift card is also useful since you can redeem it at Cheesecake Factory, Red Lobster, Red Robin, Maggiano's, Buffalo Wild Wings and BJ's.
Act fast if you're interested in these gift card rewards because many Amazon Prime Early Access deals are only available until supplies run out.
