TPG Exclusive: One of San Juan's most popular resorts got a major remodel
A beloved resort on the beaches of San Juan, Puerto Rico, just underwent an $80.2 million renovation. The La Concha Resort has officially joined Marriott's Autograph Collection.
Now officially known as La Concha Resort, Puerto Rico, an Autograph Collection Hotel, the updated resort can be found right off Condado Beach, near the center of the action in San Juan.
As part of the multimillion-dollar upgrades, guests at the beloved property will find fresh accommodations in the reimagined 238-key Suite Tower. Designed by Celano Design, the new suites offer guests a design that evokes the ocean, the sand and vibrant San Juan, including marble floors, soft-colored woods, striking metal elements and an overall sense of comfort.
Dining experiences at the resort have also received a glow-up. To start, chef Michael White's Levant serves up Mediterranean-inspired meals in a gorgeous, shell-shaped dining room that feels both futuristic and retro at the same time. The space is sure to be an Instagram darling.
Other refreshed options include Tekka Bar, a Japanese joint specializing in hand rolls and sake, that opened late last year. Late in the summer, an all-day restaurant called AQA Oceanfront will join a crew of other bars and restaurants, like the San Juan outpost of the global Italian restaurant Serafina and the poolside restaurant Sereno.
As the first Autograph Collection property in Puerto Rico, La Concha is leaning right into the brand's goal of offering one-of-a-kind moments. At La Concha, one of those includes a daily cocktail experience where guests can tailor and refine unique cocktails based on their mood or personality (from the adventurous to the introverted), for a fun journey that ends with a stiff drink or a refreshing mocktail.
Last year, the Elemara Spa & Salon began welcoming guests for treatments. The property is already home to a casino (including Puerto Rico's first BetMGM Sportsbook) and the popular Fifty Eight Nightclub.

How to book La Concha Resort, Puerto Rico, an Autograph Collection Hotel
Low-season rates start at $309 per night, plus resort fee and taxes. Marriott Bonvoy award nights start at 50,000 points per night on weekdays and 75,000 points on weekends.
