Hyatt shares integration details, including award rates, for The Standard and The StandardX properties
Hyatt acquired Standard International in late 2024. Ever since, we've wondered exactly how the Standard International brands — The Standard Hotels, Bunkhouse Hotels, Peri Hotels, The StandardX and The Manner — would integrate into the World of Hyatt program. Now, we have some answers.
Integration timeline for Standard International properties
Integrating brands and even specific properties into a new loyalty program can take a long time. For example, six years after IHG acquired Six Senses, some properties still aren't integrated into IHG One Rewards.
Luckily, World of Hyatt is working quickly to integrate Standard International properties. Here's the current integration timeline:
- Already added: The Manner (added to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt)
- May 7: The Standard, Ibiza
- May 14: The Standard, London; The Standard, High Line; and The Standard, East Village
- May 21: The Standard, Bangkok; The Standard, Hua Hin; The Standard, Maldives; The Standard, Singapore; The StandardX, Bangkok Phra Arthit; and The StandardX, Melbourne
- Opening soon: The Standard, Brussels, and The Standard, Pattaya

You might notice Bunkhouse Hotels properties are missing from this list, although Hyatt says to "stay tuned for when and how Bunkhouse Hotels will join World of Hyatt." The Standard Spa, Miami Beach, The Peri Hotel Khao Yai and The Peri Hotel Hua Hin are also missing, but presumably we'll hear more about their integration soon.

World of Hyatt benefits at Standard International brands
As a Hyatt Globalist member, I've been awaiting news regarding the benefits members with Hyatt elite status could expect at Standard International properties once they join the World of Hyatt program. Luckily, Hyatt announced, "members will get all the program benefits they know and love at participating hotels."

Specifically, World of Hyatt clarified that members will earn:
- 5 base points per dollar at participating The Standard and The StandardX hotels
- 4 bonus points per dollar when using the World of Hyatt Credit Card (see rates and fees) or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card (see rates and fees) to pay, which means Standard International brands will earn as Hyatt hotels once integrated into World of Hyatt
- Toward elite status and Hyatt Milestone Rewards with every qualifying stay
World of Hyatt also confirmed the Standard International brands will participate in the Hyatt award chart and on-property elite benefits. Three new brands — The Standard, The StandardX and Bunkhouse Hotels — are also joining the list of brands participating in the Hyatt Brand Explorer award.

Award categories for Standard International brands
Ever since I saw The Standard, Maldives, from afar during my trip to the Maldives last September — it's not far from the Alila Kothaifaru Maldives — I've wondered what Hyatt award chart category the property would fall into. Now, Hyatt has announced award categories for many of the Standard International properties as follows:
| Category | Properties in this category | Standard room award rates |
|---|---|---|
2 |
|
|
3 |
|
|
4 |
|
|
5 |
|
|
6 |
|
|
8 |
|
|
Bunkhouse Hotels; The Standard Spa, Miami Beach; The Peri Hotel Khao Yai and The Peri Hotel Hua Hin aren't in the above table because Hyatt has yet to specify integration details for these properties.
TPG's May 2025 valuations peg the value of Hyatt points at 1.7 cents each. So consider booking a paid rate that can earn Hyatt points instead of redeeming points if you'll get a redemption rate of less than 1.7 cents per point.

Bottom line
I don't think The Standard and The Standard X are brands I'll likely stay at frequently, as I usually don't enjoy boutique and lifestyle brands. But even so, having more options I can book through World of Hyatt is great. I'm also thrilled these brands are participating in the Hyatt award chart, instead of using dynamic award pricing like the Mr & Mrs Smith properties you can book through World of Hyatt.
Sure, I would have liked some of The Standard and The StandardX properties to join at lower award categories. But otherwise, Hyatt's integration of the Standard and StandardX brands into its portfolio seems like good news for World of Hyatt members.
