These epic Holland America cruises will take you halfway around the world in 2026 and 2027
Are you looking for an out-of-the-ordinary cruise adventure across the globe? Holland America Line has just announced some epic new itineraries you need to book.
Holland America has released details of four new Legendary Voyages that will take passengers to Asia and the Australia and New Zealand region on sailings ranging from 28 to 35 nights. The line will also offer combined Collectors’ Voyages that will allow guests to experience the best of the two regions on sailings of up to 68 nights.
Two ships — Noordam and Westerdam — will offer travelers a chance to sail to more than 50 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, New Zealand’s Fiordland National Park and the Krakatoa volcano found between the islands of Java and Sumatra in Indonesia.
Voyages will also feature several overnights and late-night departures in cities like Shanghai; Osaka and Hiroshima, Japan; Laem Chabang (the port for Bangkok), Thailand; Bali, Indonesia; Fremantle (the port for Perth), Adelaide, Hobart and Melbourne, Australia; Tahiti in French Polynesia; and Honolulu.
Note: Prices were accurate at the time of publication but are subject to change. They are based on double occupancy.
Australia and New Zealand cruises

On Oct. 11, 2026, the first of two Legendary South Pacific Crossing voyages will set sail on board Holland America’s Noordam. The 33-night cruise will travel from Seattle to Sydney, potentially eliminating the need for a precruise flight if you live on the West Coast. Passengers can expect to visit the Hawaiian Islands, French Polynesia (including an overnight stay in Tahiti), New Zealand and more. Prices for this voyage start from $4,354 per person for an inside cabin.
On March 25, 2027, at the end of the season, cruisers can embark on a second Legendary South Pacific Crossing voyage, a 28-night trip from Sydney to Seattle. Like the first crossing, it could eliminate the need for a return flight if you live near Seattle. Highlights include visits to three ports in Fiji, as well as an overnight stay in Honolulu. Fares start from $5,584 per person for an inside cabin.
Sandwiched in between is HAL’s 35-night Legendary Australia Circumnavigation, departing Nov. 15, 2026. This voyage offers visits all around the country, including the hard-to-reach west coast, as well as overnights in Hobart and Fremantle (the port for Perth). It also features calls on four ports in Papua New Guinea. Cruisers can snag an inside cabin from $7,749 per person.
“The 35-Day Legendary Australia Circumnavigation is one of our deepest explorations of Australia," Paul Grigsby, Holland America’s vice president of revenue planning and analytics, said in a statement, citing opportunities for guests to see kangaroos, koalas and other iconic wildlife.
The rest of the time, Noordam will be sailing one-way, 14-night voyages between Auckland in New Zealand and Sydney, each visiting eight ports and featuring scenic sailing through Milford Sound and Fiordland National Park in New Zealand. The least expensive voyage departs Jan. 3, 2027; passengers can book an inside cabin from $2,219 per person.
Asia sailings

Aboard Westerdam, passengers can embark on a 28-night Legendary Coral Triangle and Great Barrier Reef cruise, which sets sail Jan. 3, 2027, round-trip from Singapore and visits the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia. It also includes two days of scenic cruising near Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, an overnight call on Bali and chances to check out the Krakatoa volcano. Inside cabins start from $6,339 per person.
Among shorter itinerary options on Westerdam for the 2026-27 season are 13- and 14-night Circle Japan cruises from Tokyo, a 14-night Japan and South Korea discovery voyage (including the ship's first visit to the port of Yeosu in South Korea) and several 14-night Far East Discovery sailings that run one-way between Hong Kong and Singapore. A 14-night cruise from Hong Kong visits the Philippines, Taiwan and Japan. Prices start from $1,699 per person for a 14-night Far East Discovery cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong, departing Dec. 6, 2026.
“We know that the majority of our guests traveling to Asia want cruises that are 14 days or longer, allowing them to more authentically connect with the destination,” Grigsby said. “On the ship, they’ll be able to experience culinary delights like Peking duck and South Korean street food. And tours onshore can provide a tailored experience for each guest. ... Those looking for something truly special can spend 2–3 days on land exploring Thailand’s Ayutthaya City, Cambodia’s Angkor, and other UNESCO World Heritage sites.”
Collectors' Voyages
Passengers wishing to experience the best of these regions can opt for one of the line’s Collectors’ Voyages, which combine multiple cruises into even longer voyages, giving guests access to more ports in one vacation. The sailings’ combined journeys will put passengers on board for 28 to 68 nights, depending on the specific sailing selected.
Examples include a 28-night Circle Japan Collector itinerary, departing March 28, 2027, on Westerdam, sailing from Tokyo to Yokohama in Japan. The itinerary features a late-night departure from Hiroshima and visits to two ports in South Korea. This sailing starts from $5,249 per person for an inside cabin.
Passengers can also combine two Legendary Journeys into one Collectors' Voyage if they opt for the 68-night combo that departs Oct. 11, 2026, traveling from Seattle to Sydney on Noordam. This voyage kicks off with the first of the two Legendary South Pacific Crossings, followed by the Australia circumnavigation; it can be booked from $9,364 per person for an inside cabin.

These voyages are now open for booking through your travel agent, via the Holland America website or by calling 1-877-724-5425.
Cruisers who are members of Holland America’s Mariner Society loyalty program can earn up to $400 in onboard credit per cabin when they reserve a room through March 31, 2025.
