Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse on Carnival Cruise Line (with menu)
If you're celebrating a special occasion when you cruise, or you're just feeling like a fancy dinner where you can splurge on seafood or a fine cut of beef, a staple onboard venue is the steakhouse. At TPG, we find that Fahrenheit 555, Carnival Cruise Line's version, is one of the best steakhouses at sea.
A meal there will cost you extra, of course, but it's worth the splurge. Here's all you need to know about dining at Fahrenheit 555, including what's on the menu and how much you'll pay.
What is Fahrenheit 555 on Carnival cruises?
Fahrenheit 555 is the name of the steakhouse found on most of Carnival Cruise Line's ships. It's an extra-fee restaurant for which reservations are recommended, and it's open only for dinner. Carnival ships without Fahrenheit 555 usually have a different steakhouse that offers the same menu, even if it has another name.
Although the atmosphere is upscale, the steakhouse's dress code is listed as casual, so you're likely to see a mix of people who are dressed up and others who dine in jeans and T-shirts.
Decor varies by ship, but it usually features neutrals offset by jewel-toned pops of color, and the space tends to be dimly lit, evoking an air of fine dining.

Fahrenheit 555 menu
The Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse menu is divided into four sections: starters, entrees, sides and desserts.
Starters might include smoked oysters, stuffed mushrooms, beef carpaccio, jumbo shrimp cocktail, crab and mushroom risotto, lobster bisque, baked onion soup and a selection of salads.
For mains, choose from New York strip loin, prime ribeye, filet mignon, surf and turf, grilled lamb chops, roasted chicken, lobster tail, Chilean sea bass and more. If you'd like sauce with your entree, you can pick from mustard, barbecue, bearnaise, red wine and chimichurri varieties.
Pair your main with up to two sides that include baked potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, buttered broccoli, mashed potatoes, onion rings, macaroni and cheese and french fries.

If you still have room, desserts await in the form of a chocolate sphere that cracks open when warm cocoa cream custard is poured over it, cheesecake with a hazelnut biscuit, apple tart, fresh fruit or homemade sherbet and ice cream. After-dinner drinks, wine and cocktails are also available for an additional fee.

On the children's menu, kids will find a choice of macaroni and cheese or shrimp cocktail for starters; beef sliders, fish and chips, chicken fingers or a 4-ounce filet mignon for mains with sides of fries, vegetables or both; and a banana split or chocolate and Nutella pizza for dessert.
Note: Menu examples were accurate at the time of publication, but they're subject to change without notice.
