Earn Bonus Starpoints with Le Méridien
Starwood just launched a new promotion running now through February 28, 2013 where SPG members will have the opportunity to earn unlimited bonus Starpoints with Le Méridien Hotels and Resorts across North America and French Polynesia. This offer is only available to those who register by January 15, 2013.
Once you register for this promotion, you will earn 1,000 bonus Starpoints on your first eligible stay then 2,000 bonus Starpoints on each following stay. There is no limit to the number of bonus Starpoints that can be earned during the promotion period. Bookings made prior to the promotion period are eligible, however only eligible stays completed during the promotion period will receive bonuses. Bonus Starpoints will post to the registered member's account within 2-4 weeks after the qualifying stay posts.
As a reminder, Starwood is also offering a 40% discount on every second night at participating properties in North and South America. Reservations have to be booked through Starwood and the discount varies by hotel and is based on the best available, non-restricted rate. Use the promo code ZB4 when you book online.

This should be stackable with whatever promtotion Starwood launches in 2013, so I'm definitely looking to book at Le Meridien properties where possible. I've stayed at Le Meridian Montrea, Cambridge and Le Parker Meridien NYC and all are perfectly fine hotels, though nothing amazing. I feel like Le Meridien is a weird Starwood brand and the brand standards vary greatly between hotel- but they are generally nice hotels, but nothing spectacular.
I value 1,000 Startpoints at about $22, so if you can rack up the 2,000 point bonuses, you're looking at a decent rebate on your spend- especially for one-night stays at cheaper properties. I feel like hotel promotions have been overly lackluster lately, so I'm glad to see something, though I'm not exactly jumping for joy over this one.
