Now that Halloween is past us, it’s time to take down the spooky decorations and get into the holiday spirit.

Fortunately for Chase Freedom cardholders, your points are worth up to 10% more across various redemption options this month — including Apple products, gift cards and Pay Yourself Back — helping you get more bang for your buck this holiday season. You might score higher cash-back bonuses when shopping via the Chase portal, too. Here are all of the details on these limited-time “Month of More” offers from Chase.

Chase cash-back cardholders are getting some love this month, with this promotion running from Nov. 1–30 (the Pay Yourself Back deal will last through the end of the year). The following cards are eligible:

With these Freedom cards, your points are typically worth just 1 cent each when opting for any of the redemption options below. But thanks to this promotion, you can get 5-10% more value from them, making your points worth up to 1.1 cents apiece instead. To take advantage of these new options, log into the Ultimate Rewards portal.

When redeeming your points for Apple products through the Apple Ultimate Rewards portal, you’ll enjoy a nice 10% boost toward your purchase.

For instance, if you’ve been eyeing the latest generation of AirPods, they usually retail for $179 or 17,900 Ultimate Rewards points. With this limited-time promotion, you would only need to redeem using 15,910 points instead — a savings of almost 2,000 points.

If you don’t know what to get your friends or family for Christmas, a gift card is always a solid bet. Select gift cards through the Ultimate Rewards portal will come with a 10% discount this month, including retailers such as Home Depot, Sephora, DoorDash and more. For instance, you would need 9,000 points to redeem for a $100 gift card (instead of 10,000 points).

It’s always a good idea to check the Chase portal for bonus earning on shopping, especially when they are elevated like this. Through Nov. 30, Freedom cardholders can earn extra cash back when making purchases with select retailers including:

  • Under Armour (8x)
  • Macy’s (5x)
  • Chewy (5x)
  • Nike (5x)
  • Lancôme (5x)
  • Kiehl’s (5x)
  • Harry & David (5x)

This promotion works as if you were shopping through an airline portal. Head to ‘Earn Bonus Points’ on the Ultimate Rewards portal and shop through the link of the respective retailer to earn these bonus points this month.

Points worth 10% more on select Pay Yourself Back categories

Chase added the popular Pay Yourself Back tool during the pandemic, offering another way for cardholders to use up their points balances.

Until Dec. 31, 2021, Chase Freedom cardholders’ points are worth 10% more when using the Pay Yourself Back tool to redeem their points for wholesale club and department store purchases, on up to $500 in each category. So instead of 1 cent apiece, you get a value of 1.1 cents for your points.

Is it worth it?

At any other time of the year, your Ultimate Rewards points are worth 1 cent each for any of these redemption options with the Freedom cards. However, if you also carry the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card or the Chase Sapphire Reserve, your Ultimate Rewards points are worth up to 2 cents each according to TPG’s valuations since you can unlock transfers to Chase’s 11 airline and three hotel loyalty partners.

With this promotion, your points that are worth 10% more will essentially be worth 1.1 cents each. While under the 2-cent valuations we peg when transferring your Ultimate Rewards points for travel, these offers can be decent if you aren’t looking to redeem them for travel and want to save your cash this holiday season.

And if you’re a cardholder of the Sapphire Preferred or the Sapphire Reserve, remember that you can transfer your points balance over to your Freedom card to unlock any of these limited-time promotions as well, though we’d suggest hanging onto them for more valuable options.
