Capital One Walmart cards: Discontinued
Meanwhile, Capital One's two Walmart card offerings — the Capital One Walmart Rewards Mastercard and Walmart Rewards Card — are no longer available to new applicants.
Existing cardholders will be converted to the Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards Credit Card on a rolling basis. NerdWallet reports that the new cards will be sent from September 2024 through early 2025.
In the meantime, existing cardholders can still use their Walmart cards, and you'll "keep the full value of all the rewards you've already earned," according to the issuer's website.
If you have either of the Walmart cards, you can check out what to expect from the Quicksilver card. And here is more information on the changes from Capital One.

Changes like this aren't unusual in the world of credit cards, especially when a partnership like Capital One and Walmart comes to an end. Still, if you're affected by either of these changes, you'll want to evaluate your card and decide if it still makes sense for your wallet.
