What's old is new again, especially when it comes to the highway, as old motor lodges in every corner of the country are being rebirthed as chic, Instagram-friendly places to not just spend the night but to go for an entire vacation.

And one of the most popular examples of the trend, the Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa in California's Napa Valley, can now be booked with World of Hyatt points.

Located about 50 miles from San Francisco in Calistoga, the motor lodge is fun, funky and combines a taste of nostalgic Americana with all the luxuries expected of a modern-day Napa experience (I highly doubt the motor lodges your grandparents talked about had a spa!).

The Calistoga has 97 rooms and suites, including 34 newly redesigned deluxe king and deluxe queen rooms, each of which offers a private balcony or terrace, wood-paneled walls, leather headboards, spa-inspired bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers, and even pour-over coffee kits. Not to mention, the motor lodge's location in the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains means beautiful views to enjoy with that coffee.

The property also plans to expand soon by opening five villas with outdoor terraces and firepits.

With a fun-for-all atmosphere, guests can play games like cornhole and bocce ball or relive their younger years with a hula hoop. During the day, go for a cruise on a free-to-borrow Priority Cruiser bicycle and then unwind with a glass of wine in the evening around a fire pit.

Speaking of wine, with its Napa Valley location, this points-friendly motel is the perfect place to root a trip in Wine Country. Guests can visit nearby wineries and tasting rooms or join an on-property tasting (when offered).

If that's not enough, there are also three mineral pools to lounge by, a full-service spa that references Calistoga's historic 1880s bathhouses, and Wellness Wednesday events that include activities like sound healing, hiking and yoga.

And of course, guests need not worry about going hungry as the lodge's restaurant, Fleetwood Calistoga, serves up wood-fired Italian and Mediterranean dishes like short rib tortellini, oak-grilled salmon and an assortment of pizzas, plus breakfast, brunch and local wines.

It's also pet-friendly, so even furry, four-legged friends can join in on the fun.
