Allegiant unveils 7 new routes across 12 cities, with intro fares from $49 one-way
Allegiant Air has been on an expansion blitz in 2025, and just announced its latest new city: Fort Myers, Florida.
Starting in November, the budget carrier will launch brand-new nonstop service out of Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) with flights to three cities: Allentown, Pennsylvania; Appleton, Wisconsin and Des Moines, Iowa.
For Allegiant, Fort Myers is a new airport in a region it's very familiar with.

The carrier already boasts an extensive route network out of Punta Gorda, less than 40 miles to the north of RSW, in Florida's Charlotte County.
Those three new flights from Florida's coast are part of a larger, seven-route expansion unveiled Monday evening by the airline, which is known for its service between smaller cities and vacation destinations — some lesser known.
Also getting new Allegiant flights on Monday: the Gulf Coast of Alabama, along with cities in Ohio, Indiana and Iowa — not to mention New Orleans.
All of the new flights launch in mid-November, ahead of this year's holiday travel season.

A growth year in 2025
For Allegiant, these new routes launching in November continues a year that's seen the airline do plenty of new flying, including a blockbuster 44-route expansion the carrier first announced last year.
It's part of the carrier's tried-and-true strategy, doubling down on places like Gulf Shores — a new-in-2025 destination along Alabama's Gulf Coast, miles from the Florida panhandle.
"It's a perfect destination spot for the Allegiant network," chief commercial officer Drew Wells said, speaking on July 9 from the carrier's Vegas headquarters.

"We know that there are hundreds of folks that are driving four, six, even 12 hours to have their vacation down there," Wells added. "It's great to turn that drive into a convenient flight."
Obviously, Gulf Shores was just one of several cities that got new routes in this announcement.
Toledo, Ohio will now have a total of four Florida destinations come November. Fort Wayne, Indiana will have Allegiant flights to five Sunshine State cities. Des Moines will have seven.
Allegiant flight discounts
To celebrate the launch, the airline said it would offer special discounted fares between now and July 30, starting as low as $49, one-way, on some routes. Customers must book flights for travel between now and Feb. 10, 2026.

Looking ahead
While Allegiant has typically been known for fewer amenities and inflight entertainment options, the airline's CEO told TPG this month that the carrier is thinking about adding inflight Wi-Fi to its planes. The company has had conversations, he noted, with Starlink — the same service United Airlines is currently in the process of installing on its jets.
