Ever worry that the massive hunk of metal flying you through the air could act as a good conductor of electricity? Well your fears have been confirmed, as you can see in this week's crazy aviation video. While it's not uncommon for planes to get hit by lightning, a strike can certainly seem shocking to passengers — and, in this case, to people on the ground.

In this video, an A330-300 operated by WOW Air was flying from Iceland to Paris when it encountered a storm. The wide-body aircraft is cruising through the gray sky, when, out of nowhere, a massive bolt of lightning strikes the plane.

Fortunately, nobody was injured during the strike and the A330 continued to its journey to Paris without further incident.

Have you ever been on an airplane struck by lightning?
