30% Off Southwest Sale Today Only
Southwest just sent me an email announcing a sale today only of 30% off Southwest flights June 26-27, June 29, and July 2-6. The 24-hour sale is to celebrate the airline's birthday and is good on Wanna Get Away fares.
Though the window to get in on this deal is short and the travel time frame is just a few days, it falls right over the July 4 holiday, so if you're looking to get away for Independence Day, you could find some great savings.
As you can see in my email screenshot, my personal promo code is CNNNJ35XA2, and it's valid for one-time use only. I'm not going to use it myself, so I wanted to post it here so that one of you could use it instead for savings, and if any of you other readers received a similar email but don't plan on booking flights, I'd encourage you to post your promo codes for others to use in the comments below (as well as once you have used one).
When you click on the link in the email, it takes you to this page. If you do use a code, make sure you have it entered in the Promo Code box before you do your flight search so that the discount is factored into your fares.
Here are the rest of the terms and conditions:
-The promo code is only good on flights purchased on southwest.com or swabiz.com.
-Your purchase must be made on June 19, 2012, before 11:59pm Pacific time.
-The discount cannot be applied to existing reservations (you'd have to cancel and rebook, though it's worth checking to see if your itinerary comes in at a better price)
-The discount is applied before taxes and fees.
-Roundtrip is required, though if only one of your flights falls on the applicable dates, only that segment will be priced with the discount and the other segment will be priced normally.
-You can't use this discount on reservations using Rapid Rewards points, Jackpot or Southwest Vacation package deals.
-Changes made to the itinerary after purchase will void the discount.
-It's not valid between the following city pairs:
