If you have Joshua Tree National Park with its fantastical desert landscapes and Seussian-cacti on your bucket list, I have good news for you: RESET Hotel, in the heart of the desertscape — and just five minutes from the park — is now bookable with Marriott Bonvoy points.

RESET is the first new property to join Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy's stylish, outdoor-oriented accommodations since the collection launched in September 2025.

"Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy was created for travelers who want to immerse themselves in nature without giving up the comforts that make a stay feel effortless, and RESET strikes that balance perfectly," says Diana Plazas-Trowbridge, Chief Lodging Product & Services Officer, U.S. & Canada, Marriott International.

Ready for an outdoor adventure in California's gorgeous desert landscape? Here's what you need to know.

RESET Hotel Joshua Tree

RESET Hotel

RESET Hotel Joshua Tree National Park, is located in Twentynine Palms, just a few minutes from the north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. When the property opened last July, it was the first completely new hotel in Twentynine Palms in more than 15 years.

This isn't quite glamping, but it's also not a traditional hotel. RESET has 65 modular guest rooms that resemble shipping containers set within 180 acres of high desert landscape.

The minimalist, contemporary rooms incorporate natural colors and textures and have a true indoor/outdoor flow designed so that guests can fully appreciate the unique desert setting.

To that end, all rooms have large glass doors that open onto private patios, some of which offer views of the park. Every patio has a Solo Stove fire pit, daybed and stargazing platform so you can take advantage of the dark desert skies. Mountain King Suites even have outdoor stone soaking tubs, which truly seems like the perfect spot to watch the stars.

In the public areas of the property you'll find communal fire pits, a saltwater pool, jacuzzi, sauna and a cold plunge. There's also an all-day restaurant, Split Rock Cafe and Bar, and a co-working space (although once you get here, you'll most likely never want to open your laptop). Off season, summer rates start at $208 or 53,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.

"With its incredible access to Joshua Tree, thoughtful design, and experiences that help guests connect more deeply with the destination, RESET is exactly the kind of property we envisioned welcoming into the collection," says Plazas-Trowbridge.
