World's top pet-friendly Hilton hotels for animal lovers
Those who enjoy bringing their pets with them everywhere they go at home shouldn’t have to leave them behind when they go on vacation.
Luckily, Hilton makes it easy to bring your dog to hotels and resorts all around the world — from Orlando and Southern California to Paris and Madrid.
Here are a few of our favorite Hilton properties that offer a stay that promises to be just as comfortable and welcoming for your furry friend as it will be for you.
This posh Orlando resort, just a 12-minute drive from Walt Disney World, offers true relaxation after a busy day of theme park-hopping. It also really rolls out the red carpet for pets.
The Waldorf Astoria Orlando’s Pampered Pet package comes with a portable dog bed, a custom scooper for pet food and a doggie bandana with the hotel’s logo for the cutest Instagram pics.
While pets aren’t permitted to join you at the hotel’s gorgeous pool, the beautiful property is inviting for strolls between the palms and along the flowering grounds.
Rates at Waldorf Astoria Orlando start at about $627 per night or 90,000 Hilton Honors points per night. There is a pet fee of $125 for two pets for up to five nights and $250 for longer stays.
Beach-loving dogs and their people crush hard on St. Pete Beach. It's home to many dog parks and dog-friendly stretches of powder-white sand where you can stroll with your leashed pet beside the gently lapping Gulf of Mexico.
Start your day with a coffee from your in-room Keurig machine at the Hilton Garden Inn St. Pete Beach, then head out for a sunrise stroll with your pet. Leashed dogs are welcome at the hotel’s beachfront bar and grill, too, a prime spot for watching the sun sink into the gulf.
Rates at the Hilton Garden Inn St. Pete Beach start at about $485 per night or 55,000 Hilton Honors points per night. The pet fee is $50-$75 for up to four nights.
About a 20-minute drive from the historic sites and fabulous restaurants in downtown Charleston, this Hilton property on suburban Daniel Island puts beautiful Lowcountry nature and some excellent walking terrain right at your doorstep.
Just outside the hotel’s door, the scenic Daniel Island Trail stretches 1 1/2 miles along the Wando River. It's a favorite local spot for dog owners to walk or jog with leashed pets.
Home2 Suites by Hilton Charleston Daniel Island has pet-friendly suites with kitchenettes and offers free hot breakfast in the hotel’s lobby restaurant to all guests (free pet treats are also available in the lobby).
There’s a pet-relief area on-site, too, so you won’t have to walk far from your room whenever nature calls for your furry friend.
Rates at the Home2 Suites by Hilton Charleston Daniel Island start at about $275 per night or 39,000 Hilton Honors points per night. The pet fee is $75 for up to two pets for stays of up to four nights and $125 for longer stays.
An urban stay with your dog is easy at this pet-friendly Hilton overlooking Nichupte Lagoon in central Cancun. When you’re ready to hit Cancun’s stunning beaches, it’s just a five-minute drive to Mandala Beach Club, one of the area’s most happening spots.
The hotel’s outdoor pool is an inviting spot to relax and take a refreshing dip. Also, your pet is welcome to hang out with you on the property’s rooftop — an idyllic spot for sipping a margarita as the sun sets on another beautiful Yucatan day.
Rates at the Canopy by Hilton Cancun La Isla start at about $225 per night or 47,000 Hilton Honors points per night. The one-time, nonrefundable pet fee is $55 for a maximum of one pet per room with a maximum weight of 22 pounds.
Pet-friendly Park City, Utah, makes for a great vacation with your furry best friend in every season.
When you make the Waldorf Astoria Park City your base of explorations, you can count on a warm and welcoming stay after a day of hiking, mountain biking, skiing or just skipping around one of the fairest of mountain towns.
The Canyons Village Frostwood Gondola is mere steps from the hotel, offering ideal access to Park City Mountain Resort for winter and summer outdoorsy fun.
The hotel welcomes your dog with bowls, beds and healthy homemade treats to keep them on their best behavior.
If you had to leave your pup at home, the property partners with a local pet rescue and adoption organization, Nuzzles & Co., that lets you take local shelter dogs hiking, walking and swimming with you during your stay.
Rates at the Waldorf Astoria Park City start at about $470 per night or 90,000 Hilton Honors points per night. The one-time, nonrefundable pet fee is $100 for up to two dogs per room, good for the length of your stay.
Parisian pooches are a breed apart, and Paris is sans doute one of the most pet-friendly cities in the world. Make sure you stay somewhere that makes dogs feel just as welcome as you are, like the Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero.
Pop up to the hotel’s rooftop terrace and bar with your pooch for an espresso or aperitif with Eiffel Tower views. Afterward, step out together for strolls in the city, with the Champs-Elysees and Arc de Triomphe in your local backyard (and just a 10-minute walk out the door).
Rates at the Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero start at about $618 per night or 80,000 Hilton Honors points per night. The one-time, nonrefundable pet fee is 50 euros (roughly $50) per pet per stay.
Good days and restful nights with your furry friend await in Madrid when you check in for a pet-friendly stay at Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana. The hotel is within easy reach of shopping centers, the stadium where the Real Madrid soccer (aka futbol) team plays and the Paseo de la Castellana, the longest and one of the widest paths in Madrid.
Lazy afternoons at the hotel after your city explorations together might see you relaxing on the rooftop terrace with your pet or hitting the rooftop swimming pool, a great spot to cool off during the summer months.
Madrid is packed with beautiful parks just made for strolling with your dog, including Casa de Campo, the city’s largest park, where dogs are even allowed off-leash to run their hearts out during certain hours of the day.
Rates at the Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana start at about $170 per night or 41,000 Hilton Honors points per night. The one-time, nonrefundable pet fee is 40 euros (roughly $44) per pet per stay.
The dog-friendly neighborhoods of Dupont Circle and nearby Georgetown beckon pet owners to the Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Georgetown for an inviting stay with many of the comforts of home.
In-room kitchenettes with microwaves make it easy to cook simple meals, and the property offers guests a free hot daily breakfast and manager’s receptions with beverages and light bites every evening.
You’ll find dog parks, grocery stores and Metro stops for venturing farther afield in the nation’s capital, all within an easy stroll of the hotel.
Rates at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Georgetown start at about $272 per night or 80,000 Hilton Honors points per night. The one-time, nonrefundable pet fee is $75 for up to two pets and stays of up to four nights ($125 for longer stays).
Public dog parks galore and lakefront strolling grounds make the Windy City a good choice for vacationing with your favorite four-legged travel buddy.
Base in comfort at the heart of the action with a stay at the Hilton Chicago/Magnificent Mile Suites, and you’ll be steps from diversions along Michigan Avenue, the Lakefront Trail and fantastic shopping along Oak Street.
The hotel’s amenities include spacious rooms, doggie bowls and a top-floor heated indoor swimming pool overlooking Lake Michigan. However, during the warmer months in the city, exploring with your dog outdoors is undoubtedly the best place to be.
Rates at the Hilton Chicago/Magnificent Mile Suites start at about $375 per night or 45,000 Hilton Honors points per night. The one-time, nonrefundable pet fee is $75 and dogs up to 75 pounds are welcome.
It’s hard to imagine a more picturesque place to stay than coastal California, where adventures whisper around every corner. Pet owners love the Golden State for vacationing with their dogs, thanks to the many pet-friendly restaurants, beaches and attractions.
Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach has a lagoon-shaped oceanfront pool overlooking the dunes and Pacific Ocean and is just 150 steps (perhaps a few more "pawsteps" for your pooch) from the sand.
The resort is mere minutes from Legoland California Resort and about a 40-minute drive north of San Diego’s famous attractions, like the San Diego Zoo. However, you might be just as happy to spend the bulk of your time enjoying the resort’s spectacular coastal scenery with your dog by your side.
Rates at Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach start at about $347 per night or 65,000 Hilton Honors points per night. The one-time, nonrefundable pet fee is $75 for up to two pets per room weighing a maximum of 25 pounds each.
