This year, the most expensive one-day, one-park Disney World ticket will set you back nearly $200. The price varies per park and date, but if you visit during the week of Christmas, you'll pay $199 per ticket to visit the Magic Kingdom. If you were to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom that same week, you'd pay a little less at only $174.

Even with all the new attractions and experiences coming to Disney this year, that's a hefty chunk of change. But you can pay a great deal less than that if you know the best times to visit for the cheapest Disney World tickets.

We don't always have the flexibility to time our Disney vacations based on ticket prices, but if you do have some wiggle room in your travel schedule, these are the best days to visit Disney World this year.

How to find the cheapest Disney World tickets

The good news is that finding the cheapest days to visit Disney World is pretty easy. You don't have to find a prince who can impart true love's spell-breaking kiss or a mysterious princess whose foot perfectly fits the abandoned glass slipper.

All you need to do is navigate to the theme park tickets page on the Walt Disney World website. Here, you'll see various options for the number of days you'd like to visit and when. The monthly calendar displays the beginning pricing for each day of the month, and you can currently view pricing through the end of 2025.

At the top of the calendar, there is a link to "see which month(s) offer the lowest price." In most years, including 2025, the cheapest dates for tickets of any length fall in August and September. You can click on either month to see exactly which dates are the least expensive.

The cheapest days to visit Disney World this year

So, which days are the cheapest this year? Here's a quick rundown of the days with the cheapest one-day tickets:

  • Aug. 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27 and 28
  • Sept. 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24 and 25

On the above days, here are the prices for a one-day ticket to each Disney park:

  • Magic Kingdom: $139 to $154
  • Epcot: $129 to $139
  • Disney's Hollywood Studios: $139 to $149
  • Disney's Animal Kingdom: $119

These prices generally hold true for multidate tickets and tickets with the Park Hopper option. There is some variance, but August and September are the cheapest times to visit overall.

Disney entices guests with less expensive tickets for multiple reasons. The above dates are weekdays, which tend to be less expensive at Disney World, no matter the time of year. Most of these dates also fall after kids return to school from summer break, making them less in demand than other times of the year.

Keep in mind that this is also a very hot time of year at Disney World, so you may be trading a bit of comfort for the money you'll save. That said, the sacrifice may be worth it if budget is your main concern.

Prices for Disney World's on-site hotels follow a similar pattern. For example, rooms at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa run as high as $550 or more in November, but rates in August average over $100 less per night.

There are a few ways to save money on your next Disney World vacation.

Disney World offers several hotel discounts and vacation package deals throughout the year, including a current hotel discount that can save you up to 30% on nightly rates. If even discounted Disney World hotel prices are out of your budget, there are several hotels in the Disney Springs area with rates as low as $98 per night.

If you have one of TPG's favorite cards for Disney vacations in your wallet, you may be able to use travel credits or redeem points toward your Disney vacation.

Bottom line

Several factors — like experiencing one of Disney's after-hours events or seeing the resort's holly, jolly Christmas lights and decor — may impact your travel dates. However, now you know exactly when to plan a budget-friendly trip to visit Mickey Mouse and his friends this year.
