Up to 80,000 Points for Chase Priority Club Visa
Update: This offer is no longer available.
In December I received a targeted 80,000 point sign-up offer, which was a pretty greal deal. I couldn't post it here because it was a targeted offer with a unique code, but I believe it was sent to most US Priority Club members. Mine was sent on 12/13/10 and if you have Gmail, just search for "Priority Club 80,000" and you should be able to find it if you were indeed earmarked for this promotion. If you aren't a Priority Club member, I recommend signing up now in hopes of receiving this offer. I don't have status with PC and I don't think I had any paid stays on that account, so I doesn't seem like I satisfied any special criteria.
For those of you who didn't get the 80,000 offer, there is a 60,000 point offer open to everyone.
$49 annual fee (waived for the first year),
one free night each year the card is renewed,
10% Rebate on Priority Club redemptions
5 points per dollar spent on Priority Club hotels,
2 points per dollar on gas, groceries, and dining,
1 point per dollar on everything else, and
Gold elite status which is usually earned after 15 nights or 20,000 points. Main benefits: Early check-in/ late check out, 10% points bonus, and better customer service.
If you remember, I used 20,000 points and $60 a night for four nights at the Intercontinental Rio de Janiero over New Year's Eve when rooms were going for over $500 a night. Priority Club has a bunch of redemption options, but redeeming for Priority Club hotels is generally the best value in my opinion. Redemptions start at 5,000 for PointBreaks hotels and go up to 40,000 for Intercontinental stays.
Overall, this is a very strong card offering and I'll be featuring a comparison of the Hyatt and Priority Club cards tomorrow in case you are torn between both.
