Located in northern Spain, Bilbao is known for its artsy and historic charm along with its ornate and unique architecture. Lufthansa is offering discounted flights for most of the year with the exception of summer starting at $385 round-trip from major U.S. cities.

SecretFlying reported the discounted economy class fares to Bilbao, which can be booked for travel from February to December, not including the summer months.

The flights below are for economy class on Lufthansa Airlines, which includes a standard seat, carry-on and meal. A checked bag and any changes will cost extra. Note that all flights included here are under $450 round-trip, and they have a layover in in Munich (MUC) each way.

One of the most affordable deals we found was from Los Angeles (LAX) to Bilbao (BIO) for $385 round-trip at the beginning of November.

On the East Coast, you can go from New York (JFK) to Bilbao (BIO) for $400 round-trip. This deal is widely available, but the one featured below is from the end of October to the beginning of November.

For the same $400 price, you can fly from Miami (MIA) to Bilbao (BIO) roundtrip at the beginning of November.

Flights are available from Dallas (DFW) to Bilbao (BIO) for $438 round-trip. The deal below is a long flight with two stops in Chicago (ORD) and Munich (MUC) each way.

Travelers from the "Windy City" can snag a flight from Chicago (ORD) to Bilbao (BIO) for $449 round-trip from the end of March to the beginning of April.
