Fall fares to Morocco are currently available at reduced prices through Air Canada (a Star Alliance member), Air France, Royal Air Maroc and TAP Portugal. There are a couple of reasons why this deal stands out. One is that it involves more than two dozen U.S. cities, not just the usual big-city departure hubs like Chicago, New York and Miami. Two, while these are for economy tier tickets, most fares include a carry-on and one free checked bag (with one notable exception). That's a nice add-on to boost the value here.

Please note that these fares are for travel to Casablanca's Mohammed V International Airport (CMN). But you can expand your visit to include Marrakech by booking an open jaw itinerary, which lets you fly into one airport and fly home from another.

The best availability we saw for these sale prices was for travel between September and November.

Thanks to the folks at Scott’s Cheap Flights for first spotting this deal, and also for the tip about trying an open-jaw trip. Its Premium membership is available for $49 per year, while the Elite option is available for $199 per year. The latter offers access to deals on premium economy, business- and first-class tickets.

If you can be flexible with your travel plan, it will typically help you find better prices.

Deal basics

Airlines: Air Canada, Air France, Royal Air Maroc, TAP Portugal.
Routes: Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, New York, Washington, D.C., and other cities to Casablanca, Morocco.
How to book: Search Google Flights and book directly with the airline.

Sample flights

We'll start with a great deal out of Newark. TAP Portugal has flights from Newark-Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) in Casablanca in late November for just $482 round trip. The one caveat is that this doesn't come with a free checked bag. With TAP's economy fare, you only get a free carry-on. Still, a ticket to Morocco for less than $500? Count us in.

Here is a nice price out of Washington, D.C. TAP has $555 round-trip fares from Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Casablanca, also in November.

Air Canada has flights from Atlanta to Morocco for $661 round trip. You travel from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to Casablanca with a stop in Montreal each way. You get a free carry-on and a checked bag.

Boston to Casablanca is also available for less than $600 round trip in October. You fly from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Morocco with a layover in Montreal each way. There was some availability for this route in November as well.

This sale involves mostly itineraries with a layover, but we did find one notable nonstop fare. You can fly direct from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City to Casablanca in mid-November on Royal Air Maroc for $711. We found wide availability of this fare in October as well.
