The more you stay, the more you earn at Marriott hotels this spring. With Marriott Bonvoy‘s latest promotion, members can earn 1,000 bonus points and one bonus elite night credit for every night they stay at participating hotels — and there’s no limit to how many rewards you can earn.

Here are all the details on Marriott’s newest global promotion.

Earn bonus points and elite night credits with Marriott’s spring 2025 promotion

TWELVE DOWNTOWN, AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION/MARRIOTT

Registered Marriott Bonvoy members can earn 1,000 bonus Bonvoy points and one bonus elite night credit for each eligible paid night stayed during the promotion period.

Not only can the bonus points get you closer to your next free stay, but you'll essentially earn double elite night credits and fast-track your way to Marriott elite status. That means if you're a basic member, you could reach Silver Elite by staying just five eligible nights during this promotion, compared to the usual 10 nights per calendar year required for Silver Elite.

Register on Marriott's website by April 14 to take advantage of this promotion. After registering, you can earn bonus points on stays between Feb. 11 and April 28.

As you might expect, only paid stays qualify for this promotion. Award stays — including points redemptions, Cash + Points bookings and free night awards — are not eligible to earn bonus points. The same goes for stays booked through most third-party online retailers and online travel agencies. To earn bonus points (as well as most other Bonvoy perks), you’ll need to book directly through one of Marriott's channels: on Marriott's website, in the Marriott Bonvoy mobile app or through a reservation center.

Similarly, if you earn miles with one of Marriott’s airline partners instead of earning Bonvoy points, you may not be eligible for bonus points and elite nights. Check your Bonvoy account to make sure it’s set to earn Bonvoy points on future stays.

Not all Marriott brands are participating in this promotion. You won’t be able to earn bonus points or elite nights at Bulgari, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Marriott Executive Apartments, Marriott Vacation Club (for owner-occupied weeks), Grand Residences by Marriott, Marriott Grand Residence Club, Sheraton Vacation Club, Westin Vacation Club, The Ritz-Carlton Club, The St. Regis Residence Club and The Luxury Collection Residence Club properties.

There's no published limit to the number of bonus points or elite night credits you can earn with this promotion. Don't forget that Bonvoy members earn 5 or 10 base points per dollar spent on Marriott stays at most brands (2.5 points per dollar at Marriott Executive Apartments), and elite members earn an additional bonus.

Earn bonus points with a Marriott credit card

Marriott Bonvoy members can earn even more points when they pay for their stay with a Marriott cobranded card.

With the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy® American Express® Card, the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card (see rates and fees), the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card or the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card, you’ll earn 6 points per dollar spent on eligible purchases at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy. If you have the Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card (see rates and fees), you'll earn 3 points per dollar spent at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels.

Let's imagine you stay at a Moxy hotel, which earns 10 Bonvoy points per dollar if you're a basic member, and you hold one of the above cards that earns an additional 6 points per dollar. If your base room rate is $200 per night, you'll earn 4,200 Bonvoy points per night: 2,000 for being a member, 1,200 with the card and 1,000 bonus points with this promotion.

Bottom line

Marriott’s latest global promotion could be quite lucrative, especially if you're planning an extended Marriott stay or several short stays this spring. And if you're pursuing Bonvoy elite status in 2025, the double night credits earned through this promotion are a great way to jump-start your progress.

However, even if you have no travel plans or aren’t sure you’ll be able to stay at a Marriott, it’s worth registering for the promotion now. We always recommend registering for hotel promotions just in case you have an unexpected stay.
