Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you're using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you'll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia's courtesy cancellation if you're unable to get the time away from work or family.

If you've flown JetBlue Mint before, you already know that the experience is like no other domestic product. But if you haven't, now's your chance. JetBlue announced Thursday that it's expanding the Mint network with new routes to the Caribbean and Latin America. The best part? There are some days in December 2018 and January 2019 where Mint is pricing out from $266 or 17,800 TrueBlue points one-way — in fact, cheaper than an economy ticket! These fares likely won't be around for long, so you'll want to book sooner rather than later.

To book, head directly to JetBlue's site or an online travel agency (OTA) like Orbitz and Expedia and search eligible routes. Do note that JetBlue only offers Mint service to these destinations on Saturdays and availability for these flights isn't showing on Google Flights yet.

Routes: BOS/JFK to LIR/SXM/UVF

Booking Link: Orbitz, Expedia or directly with the airline
Pay With: The Platinum Card® from American Express (5x on airfare), Chase Sapphire Reserve, Citi Prestige (5x on airfare plus excellent trip delay insurance) or Chase Sapphire Preferred Card (2x on travel)
