Hotel Deals This Week: SPG Hot Escapes, Marriott, Travelzoo
Looking for a last minute vacation? Each week, I'll note some great deals, including some of the SPG Hot Escapes and other promotions that you can take advantage of to save money on your next getaway.
SPG Hot Escapes Top Picks For September 10-13, 2014
SPG Hot Escapes is a promotion that offers weekly hotel discounts at Starwood properties. The deals go live every Wednesday at 6:00 am ET, and must be booked by that same Saturday in order to secure the discounted price. Your hotel stay must be completed in the next six weeks. Each week a new list of deals will come out, so check back weekly for more updates. If you're an SPG member, you can save an additional 5%. The prices listed are the cheapest prices during the six weeks, but may vary by date and availability. Keep in mind that the rate is prepaid, and you'll be charged a penalty for changes/cancellations. Also, remember that you will earn points for these stays even though the price is promotional.
The Westin Fort Lauderdale, FL: SPG Member Rate: $83
Rates at the Westin Fort Lauderdale normally start at $129 (or 7,000 SPG points) per night for this Category 3 property. This recently renovated hotel overlooks a three-acre lagoon and is near the Palm Aire Golf and Country Club and the Ft. Lauderdale beaches. There's an outdoor heated swimming pool and a whirlpool, as well as Westin Workout facilities. This property is well situated, as it's only a fifteen minute drive to Fort Lauderdale International Airport.
Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas: SPG Member Rate: $148
Rates at the Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas normally start at $497 per night, so with this Hot Escapes deal you can save almost 70%. Using points at this Category 5 property can be steep since all rooms are villas, meaning Starpoint redemptions are much higher than the normal 12,000 points. The basic rooms here are a massive 2,670 square feet, and all come with private pools and butler service, so if you're looking to spread out, this is the hotel for you. Guests also have full access to all the pools and amenities at their sister property, the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa.

Save 15% during weekends Marriott Hotels in Austria
You can save 15% on weekend rates at Marriott properties in Austria such as the Courtyard Vienna and the Renaissance Vienna, among others. The offer is valid on weekends (arrival on Friday or Saturday) from November 1-December 28, 2014, and tax is included. Make sure to enter the promo code M11 when making your reservation. Vienna is a beautiful place to visit before the holidays, as you can wander through the Christmas markets and take care of all your holiday shopping.

40% Off Bishop's Lodge Ranch Resort & Spa, Santa Fe, New Mexico
Enjoy a peaceful escape at this Santa Fe Ranch Retreat starting at $109 per night. With this offer you get free breakfast, complimentary yoga and Pilates classes, plus access to the fitness center, tennis courts, mountain bikes, swimming pool and hiking trails and a complimentary shuttle to Santa Fe Plaza (just 10 minutes away) where you can explore museums, shops and art galleries.
