Free Admirals Club One-Day Passes From Klout
The social media firm Klout and American Airlines have teamed up to offer “influencers” with high enough Klout scores free prizes including One-Day Passes to the Admirals Club and a free one-year Admirals Club Membership.
Klout measures a person’s “influence” based on their Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, FourSquare and Google+ profiles and activity, and then assigns them a score between 1-100 based on the amount of influence they have. Klout comes up with this number based on a user’s number of contacts or followers, their activity on each site, and whether their followers/friends pay attention to and re-post/tweet/react to the user’s posts. Higher scores mean higher “status.”
My current Klout score is 74, and though I have lounge access from so many other methods including my new Mercedes-Benz Platinum Amex, I still figured I’d give it a shot. So I entered the promo and scored a free One-Day Pass, which I’ll give away to a Twitter follower of mine who retweets this post – and thus raises my Klout score and gets us all more freebies for future giveaways!
If you want to enter the sweepstakes yourself, you can enter twice per person/email address by visiting https://secure.fly.aa.com/klout and logging in via your Facebook or Twitter account, allowing the Klout application, checking your Klout score and completing all required fields on the sweepstakes entry form.
To enter the second time, you can do so by emailing klout@themarketingarm.com with the subject line “The Klout To Win Sweepstakes” and including your full name, phone number, home address and email address in the body of the email. You can enter the sweepstakes up to two times via this method of entry, one entry per separate email submitted.
Those with a Klout score of 0-54 will receive a $50 discount off a new annual Admirals Club membership that must be purchased online before July 31, 2013.
Entrants with a Klout score of 55 or higher will receive one free One-Day Pass to the Admirals Club and if you purchase a new annual Admirals Club membership within 30 days of your visit, you get a $50 discount.
There will also be one grand prize winner drawn from all the entries of a free One-Year Admirals Club Membership valued at $450 (which will be taxable at that value) that will be announced on or around June 7.
