Want an extra $1,000 to spend on your next sailing? A Black Friday offer from Azamara Cruises will provide passengers with onboard credit when they book a voyage with the line.

Travelers reserving a cabin on one of Azamara's ships between Nov. 15 and Dec. 2 will receive $1,000 per cabin to spend on extras like top-shelf alcohol, spa treatments, specialty dining and shore excursions.

Additionally, the savings can be stacked with Azamara's long-running two-category-upgrade offer, which means you can score a balcony cabin for the price of an inside or a suite for the price of an outside when you book select accommodations. (Bookings must be made in the desired category; prices will be discounted to reflect the upgrade.)

This offer is valid on more than 100 voyages departing between Jan. 4 and Nov. 14, 2023. Prices start from $1,295 per person.

Sample sailings include:

  • Jan. 15: Twelve-night South Africa sailing on Azamara Journey from $1,899 per person for an inside stateroom (balcony from $3,499 per person), featuring calls on Cape Town, Durban and more, as well as two overnights and four late nights in port.
  • June 3: Seven-night Adriatic voyage on Azamara Onward from $1,899 per person for an inside stateroom (balcony also from $1,899 per person), including visits to ports in Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy.
  • Nov. 13: Seven-night Arabia-intensive cruise on Azamara Journey from $1,899 per person for an inside cabin (balcony also from $1,899 per person), including stops at Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sir Bani Yas in the United Arab Emirates and Doha in Qatar.

Azamara, which came under new ownership in 2021 during the pandemic shutdown, is known for its immersive itineraries. They focus heavily on local culture and customs and provide several late nights or overnights in port, allowing passengers to explore the nightlife in the areas that Azamara's ships visit.

The line continues to grow following its acquisition of Azamara Onward. (The vessel was originally one of now-defunct Renaissance Cruises' R-class ships and later served as Pacific Princess under Princess Cruises, which sold it to Azamara.) The line could also be planning its first new-builds, but nothing official has been announced yet.

Other lines — including Celebrity Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line — have begun to roll out early Black Friday deals, too. They include discounted fares (some from just $60 per person per night) and a variety of perks like onboard credit, buy-one-get-one-free fares and included gratuities, as well as extras like free Wi-Fi, drink packages, shore excursions and specialty dining.
