Earn double Avios on British Airways flights from the UK to the US
If you’re a United Kingdom-based member of the British Airways Executive Club, there's an opportunity for you to earn double Avios on flights from the U.K. to the U.S. if you book a trip by Aug. 16, 2024, and plan to travel before June 25, 2025.
Once you're registered for the offer, you’ll receive double the usual amount of Avios for your flight in any fare class. However, the deal is not just limited to airfares — you can also earn double points on British Airways Holidays packages on trips to the U.S., too.

The bonus can be applied to up to 10 qualifying flights per Executive Club member. After your flight, you’ll receive the bonus alongside the base amount of Avios you would have earned on your ticket. Those who have purchased a British Airways Holidays package will receive the base Avios amount up to six weeks after the booking is completed and the bonus Avios up to eight weeks after the booking is completed.
How many Avios could I earn?
The total amount of Avios you could earn depends on the cash price of your flights.
The bonus will be based on the cost of the flight, seat and baggage fees, not on any taxes or surcharges incurred.
As a guide, here’s what you would earn (depending on your status) per 1 British pound ($1.28) spent.

If you book your trip as part of a British Airways Holidays package, you will also earn 2 Avios per pound spent on the entire package, in addition to the double Avios earned on your flight.
Whereas flights usually earn Avios based on the cost of the ticket, when you book a British Airways Holidays package, you'll earn Avios in accordance with the airline's old awards structure, which takes into account distance flown, fare class and your Executive Club status. It's worth keeping this in mind when planning your trip, as you could earn more bonus Avios if you purchase a British Airways Holidays package instead of just a flight.
As an added bonus, you can also earn double Tier Points for flights made through eligible British Airways Holidays bookings, which could further maximize the value of this deal and help push you toward a higher elite status.
What counts as a qualifying flight or BA Holiday?
To qualify for the bonus, your flight must be British Airways-operated and carry a British Airways flight number. Codeshares and partner flights are not eligible.
Qualifying flights must depart from the U.K. and land in an American destination. They can be booked as one-way, round-trip, multitrip bookings or as part of a qualifying British Airways Holidays package. Each individual leg will earn the bonus.
For example, a one-way flight from London's Heathrow Airport (LHR) to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City would count as a qualifying flight. Similarly, a round-trip flight from London to New York and then back to London would be considered two qualifying flights.
Qualifying British Airways Holidays packages can be any combination of a flight and hotel, flight and car, or flight, hotel and car booking. Flights or packages must be booked on the British Airways website. Hotel or car bookings made without a flight will not qualify. Your booking will not be eligible if it is made with an external site, including British Airways hotel partners.
