Get your credit cards out, Royal Caribbean fans: It's time to pre-purchase packages for drinks, Wi-Fi and more for your upcoming cruise.
Royal Caribbean has kicked off another of its periodic sales on pre-purchased cruise packages, with savings of as much as 50% for some items.
The Halloween Sale, as it's being called, will continue through Tuesday. It brings:
- 30% discounts on pre-purchased soda packages.
- 40% discounts on pre-purchased water packages.
- Up to 50% discounts on pre-purchased Wi-Fi packages.
- Up to 50% discounts on pre-purchased dining packages.
There also are discounts on pre-purchased beverage packages that include alcoholic drinks, but the amount of the discount varies by ship.
Discounts on pre-purchased shore excursions of up to 25% are available, with discounts varying by ship. There also are discounts available for pre-purchased photo packages, spa packages, gifts and gear.
You can secure the discounts when you buy a package for one of the above items now for sailings scheduled to take place Tuesday through Aug. 31, 2023.
Sailings on Royal Caribbean's Asia-based Spectrum of the Seas and on ships chartered by outside groups are not part of the sale.

Royal Caribbean periodically offers sales on pre-purchased packages for drinks, Wi-Fi and other onboard spending items. These deals can offer significant savings over buying the same packages after boarding a ship. The sales typically don't last long, though. So, when they appear, it's good to jump on them.
To take advantage of the Halloween Sale, log into your account at the Royal Caribbean website and look at the "cruise planners" section. You can purchase pre-cruise packages there.

The sale on pre-purchased packages comes as Royal Caribbean, and other lines, are also heavily discounting last-minute cabin inventory for soon-to-depart fall sailings. Royal Caribbean, in recent days, has been offering some shortfall cruises for less than $100. Rival Carnival Cruise Line has been selling some voyages for as little as $26 a day.
Recently, MSC Cruises has also slashed rates on soon-to-depart sailings to less than $30 a day.
The low rates for fall cruises come as cruise companies struggle more than land resorts to return to normal occupancy levels in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
