Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you're using the American Express Platinum Card, you'll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia's courtesy cancellation if you're unable to get the time away from work or family.
On the heels of WOW Air's announcement that it'll begin offering flights out of Pittsburgh (PIT) starting June 2017, great promo deals are already rolling in. We're seeing fares to London (LGW) starting at $296 round-trip, with a single stop in Reykjavik, Iceland. Perhaps even better are that flights from Newark (EWR) are even cheaper, at just $291 round-trip, also with a single stop in Reykjavik.
Availability is fairly open, with flights from New York at these prices appearing sporadically from February through May 2017. To catch the Pittsburgh deal, you'll have to wait until at least June 2017 to take advantage of these great prices. If you're interested in either of these deals, act fast, because flights this cheap sell out quick. Remember, book now and plan later!
