Irish eyes are definitely smiling for this flash deal from Aer Lingus, with round-trip flights to Ireland for less than $400.

This is your chance to lift a pint of Guinness in a real Irish pub, ogle the Book of Kells at regal Trinity College in Dublin, explore the stunning Cliffs of Moher and even kiss the Blarney Stone should the mood strike.

The limited-time deal takes up to $100 off regular flight prices to Ireland. It includes dates from June through September, but the best deals and availability we found were in September.

Deal basics

Airline: Aer Lingus.
Routes: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York, Orlando, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Washington, D.C., to Dublin. Also, Boston and New York to Shannon, Ireland.
How to book: Book directly through the airline.
Travel dates: June 1 through Sept. 30. There does not appear to be a date by which travel must be completed, nor does the fine print list any blackout dates.
Book by: 6:59 p.m. ET on May 13.

Sample flights

The best flight prices for this deal that we discovered were to Dublin from the New York City area in in September, when there were multiple dates available for this $386 fare from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Dublin Airport (DUB).

Flights are a bit more expensive from the West Coast, but are nonstop, which means about a 10-hour uninterrupted overnight flight. We found fares of $556 round-trip with the fare sale for similar September dates.

We also priced flights on other carriers for similar dates, including this deal from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to Dublin on Delta for $496 for prime June dates.

Bottom line

In addition to the flash deal, Aer Lingus also offers free, unlimited changes to tickets as often as you like, up to seven days before departure. This includes changing your travel dates and even your destination as long as it's in the same region (i.e., Europe or North America). For this deal, you would just need to make your change before Sept. 30. A fare difference may apply.

Overall, this is great deal for summer and early fall travel, when the skies are blue and the grass is verdant all over Ireland.
