Amazing Deal Alert: Qatar Airways Business Class From $1,916 Round-Trip

Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you're using the American Express Platinum Card, you'll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia's courtesy cancellation if you're unable to get the time away from work or family.

Update 1/9/17 8:24pm: As One Mile at a Time points out, these flights may be even less expensive than previously reported! You should be able to save an additional 15% by booking with a Visa card and entering code "VISA" at checkout:

Update 1/9/17: It seems that these business-class fares have dropped even lower. Flights from LAX to SIN have dropped to $1,718 round-trip for one person and JFK to SIN has gone to $1,759 round-trip for one person.

Every so often, Qatar Airways runs promotions that include some pretty incredible business-class fares — the carrier's latest fare sale includes fares as low as $1,916 round-trip between Los Angeles (LAX) and Singapore (SIN) when you book for two people. You can also score a discounted booking for just one person, however those tickets start at about $100 more than if you were to book a pair. If you're based in New York, you can fly from JFK to SIN for as little as $1,950 round-trip in business class — and you'll get to ride in the airline's Airbus A350 all the way there and back.

Note that in order to take advantage of this promotion, you must book your tickets from now through January 16, 2017. While the sale applies to fares all the way through mid-December, there are several blackout dates to be aware of between June 15 and July 1, and from August 15 to September 10, 2017.
