Earn up to 15x Miles Through the United MileagePlus Shopping Portal

Here at TPG, we always stress that if you're going to do some online shopping, you should leverage the opportunity to double-dip by going through a shopping portal. Not only does clicking through one of these sites net you extra travel rewards, but they also frequently run promotions that can get you even more points or miles. Currently, United MileagePlus shopping is running one such promo, offering you the opportunity to get up to 15 miles per dollar with select retailers.
This offer runs through Friday, June 16, and applies to the following merchants:

This is a relatively limited list of retailers, but if you were already planning on making a purchase at one of them (for Father's Day, perhaps), you'll benefit from a significantly higher mileage earning rate. For example, a $150 Nike purchase made during the promo timeframe will earn you 2,250 United miles — equal to $33.75 based on TPG's latest valuations.
And while the elevated earning rates will only make a difference if your shopping plans involve one of the four stores listed above, you currently have two other ways to earn bonus miles through United MileagePlus shopping. First, now through June 23, you'll earn 500 bonus miles if you spend $150 on purchases through the portal, or you'll earn 1,500 bonus miles if you spend $350 on purchases made through the portal. So even if your retailer of choice isn't offering extra miles, you could still rack up some bonus rewards if you meet one of these spending tiers.
There's one more element to this promo: If you're a new member of MileagePlus Shopping, you can get up to 1,000 bonus miles. If you don't have a co-branded United card such as the United MileagePlus Explorer Card or the United MileagePlus Explorer Business Card, you'll earn 500 miles after you spend $125 within the first two weeks of signing up for the portal. And if you are a cardholder, you'll get 1,000 miles after you spend $150 (also within the first two weeks).
