Hilton Adds Virtual Tour Guide / Salesperson To Its HHonors App
Update: Some offers mentioned below are no longer available – Citi Hilton Honors Reserve Card
Hilton has introduced a new feature within the Hilton HHonors app called Fun Finder, which acts like a personal travel assistant that can help you with anything you want or need at a Hilton resort. The new software uses a technology called beacon — which is similar to GPS, but goes further and can give you accurate information down to the inch. Fun Finder rolls out first at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort and the Hilton Anatole, with more properties to follow.

The way the app works is relatively simple. Upon booking a stay, Hilton asks you to fill out a pre-arrival survey regarding your interests, who you'll be traveling with and more. Once you arrive and begin checking out the resort, Fun Finder will notify you of nearby activities and information. For example, if you walk by something of historical significance at the resort, Fun Finder will notify you and then explain the history to you. Or if you're walking by a bar around happy hour, you'll be notified of the current drink specials. If interacting solely with a digital interface isn't quite your thing, the app also offers a real-time chat with representatives to answer any questions you might have or to accommodate any requests.
Fun Finder is available for all HHonors members, which, of course, is free to sign up for. If you want to get free nights at Hilton properties, consider applying for the Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve Card, which sign up bonus gives you two free weekend night certificates at select Hilton hotels and resorts after spending $2,500 within the first four months of account opening.
