| These valuable offers end soon |

Now that Dean is two years old, I have to start buying him his own seat on flights, and I realized on our recent long-haul flight from Newark to Johannesburg just how quickly that can add up. I redeemed just under 200,000 United miles each for business-class award seats, which isn’t as bad for one person but starts to really feel like a big hit to the mileage balance for the two of us. I transferred from my Chase Ultimate Rewards account to my United MileagePlus account at a 1:1 ratio.
While 200,000 miles per person stung, at least it doesn’t always cost that much to fly business class. I can often snag Flying Blue business-class award redemptions on Air France for 50,000 miles one-way to Europe. This time, I decided to go with one of the pricier options since I had to weigh the convenience of the nonstop flight which left at Dean’s bedtime so he could stay on schedule with his sleep rather than choosing a less-optimal departure time with a layover for fewer miles. Trust me, it’s a game-changer when I can keep his schedule as normal as possible when traveling.
So, if you’re like me and notice your mileage balances depleting and are looking for ways to replenish your own stash of Chase points, there are two really great Chase card options right now (but both are ending soon!). Before applying, check out this guide to check your eligibility for the offer to ensure you are under the Chase 5/24 rule.
Ink Business Unlimited Credit Card
First, there’s the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card, which is actually a no-annual-fee card that has its best-ever offer: Earn $900 bonus cash back (or 90,000 points) after you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.
This is a great card for small-business owners (yes, even side hustles count) and I love that you can combine your Ultimate Rewards points if you already have another Chase card like the Chase Sapphire Reserve® or Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. Plus, the welcome bonus is worth up to $1,845 (in the form of 90,000 Chase points rather than cash back) if you do combine them with another premium Chase card and use them with transfer partners, according to TPG’s November 2024 points and miles valuations.
If you are thinking of adding a no-annual-fee card with solid earnings to your wallet, don’t wait — this is the last chance for this best-ever offer, which ends on Nov. 7 at 9 a.m. EST.
Chase Sapphire Preferred Card
Chase usually only offers an enhanced welcome offer once per year on this popular travel card, so it’s amazing that there’s another chance if you missed this particular offer earlier this year.
The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is currently offering 60,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 in the first three months of card membership, plus up to $300 in statement credits for any purchases made on Chase Travel℠ in the first year of account opening.
According to TPG’s November 2024 valuations, this offer is worth over $1,500, and the annual fee on this card is only $95 — so you’re getting a ton of potential value.
This card features lucrative earning rates and valuable perks, such as 3 points per dollar spent on dining and a statement credit of up to $50 on hotel stays purchased through Chase Travel each card account year, just to name a few. According to TPG experts, it’s one of the best travel cards and a go-to card for both beginners and experts.
This 60,000-bonus point offer plus a $300 Chase Travel credit is ending soon, though, and I suggest never waiting until the last minute!
How I use my Chase points
I almost exclusively use my Chase Ultimate Reward points to transfer to more than a dozen of Chase’s transfer partners and book award tickets via programs like United MileagePlus and Flying Blue, but even if you don’t want to take advantage of transfer partners, you’ll still get a ton of value from these offers by booking trips directly in the Chase Travel portal.
Overall, my Chase points are super valuable as part of my overall points and miles strategy, and I’m focused on replenishing them as quickly as I use them by leveraging my cards’ bonus categories on my spending.
If you can’t decide which of these cards might be right for you, take a look at a side-by-side comparison.
Have a great weekend,
BK
