If you’re looking for a card with premium travel perks and a huge welcome offer, then you are in luck.
Just this week, American Express launched a huge new welcome offer on The Business Platinum Card® from American Express — you can earn 150,000 Amex bonus points when you spend $20,000 in the first three months of card membership.
According to our valuations, that bonus is worth a whopping $3,000.
The card includes premium travel perks and business statement credits (enrollment is required for select benefits):
Centurion lounge access and Priority Pass membership
Statement credit up to $100 for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry
Airline credit fee of up to $200 annually
Gold elite status with Hilton Honors and Marriott Bonvoy
Access to Fine Hotels + Resorts program and Hotel Collection
One of my favorite perks
The American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts program is one of my favorite perks. You can earn 5 points per dollar by booking through Amex Travel, and this program offers great hotel benefits:
Up to a $200 annual statement credit, breakfast for two daily, 12 p.m. early check-in when available and guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout.
You also receive a $100 on-property credit to use during your stay (or sometimes more, depending on the property’s promotions).
My tip is to combine the American Express International Airline Program with your 35% Pay with Points rebate to get great pricing on airfare through Amex Travel. If you’re not familiar with the IAP, it is a discount on certain carriers for international premium economy, business-class and first-class tickets.
To get the most value from my Amex points, I transfer to one of the many airline transfer partners and redeem for award tickets. One of my favorite redemptions is through Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue program for cheap business-class seats to Europe, which you can sometimes find for 50,000 Flying Blue miles.
