Delta took two of the categories, supplanting 2023 winner JetBlue to be the No. 1 airline for business class while repeating as the premium economy winner. The 2024 economy ratings evaluated most of the nation’s biggest carriers, from category winner Southwest through to No. 11 (and last-place) Frontier Airlines.
The J.D. Power ratings are just the latest attempt by various groups to rank the airlines, though some carry more weight than others. Naturally, one set of rankings that we particularly like is TPG’s own Best U.S. Airline Report. Delta took home the crown in TPG’s 2023 awards for the fifth consecutive year. Delta has become the latest U.S. carrier to tweak its boarding process, while Southwest set off a wave of speculation with word that it’s considering a change to its love-it-or-hate-it open-seating policy.
