Bunkhouse Hotels, a series of trendy boutique properties located in the U.S. and Mexico (with a big concentration in popular destinations in Texas), is working hard on integrating its unique properties into the World of Hyatt program.

As of Aug. 11, seven properties have joined the program:

  • Hotel Saint Augustine in Houston (Category 6)
  • Hotel Saint Cecilia in Austin (Category 7)
  • Hotel San Jose in Austin (Category 5)
  • Austin Motel (Category 5)
  • Carpenter Hotel in Austin (Category 5)
  • Hotel San Cristobal in Todos Santos, Mexico (Category 7)
  • Hotel San Fernando in Mexico City (Category 4)

Additional hotels in Austin, San Antonio and Houston will be integrated in the near future.

World of Hyatt members can expect similar member benefits to those received at other Hyatt brands. Here's what Hyatt says members should expect:

  • Earn 5 base points per eligible $1 spent at participating Bunkhouse Hotels.
  • Earn 4 bonus points per eligible $1 spent on the World of Hyatt Credit Card (see rates and fees) at participating Bunkhouse Hotels.
  • Earn credit toward earning elite tier status and Milestone Rewards with every qualifying stay.
  • Unlock new perks through award chart participation and on-property elite benefits.

New Find experiences to bid on at Bunkhouse properties

To celebrate Bunkhouse's integration into World of Hyatt, the company has launched four limited-edition experiences at properties that members can bid on with points. These experiences typically offer one-of-a-kind access, huge perks and other bonuses (like airline miles to help get you to the experience).

The Bunkhouse experiences include:

  • Buy out a Michelin Key hotel: Take over Hotel San Fernando with a full two-night hotel buyout for 24 guests, with rooftop brunches and a cocktail class included.
  • Restorative couples escape in Mexico: Enjoy a three-night retreat for two in an oceanfront king room with a plunge pool, plus a private yoga class and sound bath, massages, a private boat adventure and a private beachfront bonfire with a three-course dinner at Hotel San Cristobal.
  • Luxury getaway in Texas: Enjoy a three-night stay with luxurious suite accommodations, a hotel dining and retail credit, and a four-course dinner by chef Aaron Bludorn at Hotel Saint Augustine, as well as an exclusive curator-led tour of The Menil Collection, a custom boot design experience at Republic Boot Co. and American Airlines AAdvantage bonus miles to use toward your flights.
  • Vinyl and barbecue in the heart of Texas: Enjoy a four-night getaway for two with accommodations and a hotel dining and retail credit at Hotel Saint Cecilia or Carpenter Hotel, plus a Michelin-starred smokehouse pit tour and curated spread with chef Ali Clem at La Barbecue, a private listening session with cocktails and bites at the Equipment Room and American Airlines AAdvantage bonus miles to use toward your flights.

These auctions start at just 5,000 World of Hyatt points, with bidding open through Aug. 18.

Bottom line

Hyatt's lifestyle offerings keep growing, giving folks who like a boutique hotel experience more options than ever. For World of Hyatt members, many of these trendy spots are already available to book with points, with more on the way. Not to mention, the Find experiences now on offer can be a great way to get a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience if you're able to snag the winning bid.
