Save Up to 25% On Copa Airlines When You Pay With a Visa Card
Star Alliance member Copa Airlines announced it would be offering up to 25% off flights when paying with a Visa card. The deal is good for flights booked through November 25, 2015 for travel between October 23, 2015, and February 16, 2016. The company's website has a complete list of the destinations that are included in the deal and which routes are 20% and which are 25% off. Enter the respective promotional code upon checkout to receive the deal.
Note that the discount is only applied to the base fare. As you can see above, you'll only save 25% off the base fare, but not the fuel surcharges. Because surcharges often make up nearly half of the total ticket price, you could end up not saving nearly as much as you might expect.
The Panama-based carrier has another offer to combine with the 20%-25% off, which can turn this into a better deal. As the airline expanded to new destinations during the past couple of years, including San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale and Boston, it launched tiered bonuses based on how many of the new routes you fly between October 1, 2015, and March 31, 2016. You can earn the following ConnectMiles with the promotion:
- 1,000 bonus miles when you fly to one destination
- 5,000 bonus miles when you fly to three destinations
- 20,000 bonus miles when you fly to five destinations
- 150,000 bonus miles when you fly to 10 destinations
By combining these two offers, you could not only fly at a discounted rate, but could also earn up to 150,000 miles. Because Copa is part of Star Alliance, the ConnectMiles you earn with the promotion can be redeemed with any of the other Star Alliance members. Copa has also had some great deals in the past, so keep an eye out for those as the airline continues to expand.
