Here's a recap of the interesting points and miles news from this week:

Registration is now open for Hilton’s Triple Your Trip promotion.
Registration is now open for Hilton’s Triple Your Trip promotion.

Registration Now Open for Hilton’s Triple Your Trip Promotion: As a recap from earlier this week, registration is now open for Hilton’s Triple Your Trip Promotion. Like last year’s promo, which was essentially the same, this one isn’t too exciting, but at least there’s opportunity to earn triple points on weekend stays and double points on weeknight stays. This is valid for stays from July 9-September 30, 2013. To take part in this offer, you must first register prior to check-in. Hilton HHonors members earn triple points for stays on weekend nights (Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights), or double points for weeknight stays on Monday through Thursday nights. However, there is an extensive list of non-participating hotels so double check to make sure the property is participating.

600 United Miles for Joining Opinion Miles Club: Opinion Miles Club is a new survey website where you can earn bonus miles for participating in surveys. To kick things off, they are offering 600 bonus United Miles for those who join and complete their first survey. You do have to fill out a lot of your personal information such as birth date, education level, income level etc., so keep that in mind before signing up. The bonus miles should take 6-8 weeks to post to your United account.

Earn up to a 30% bonus on purchased AAdvantage miles.

Up to a 30% Bonus on Purchased AAdvantage Miles: Now, through August 1, 2013, you can earn up to 15,000 bonus miles when you buy AAdvantage miles. You can purchase between 15,000-60,000 miles and you’ll earn a bonus of 2,000-15,000 AAdvantage miles. Ordinarily, American miles cost 2.95 cents each plus a $35 per-transaction fee. This bonus is hard-coded so there is no need to register. So if you were to buy 50,000 miles, you’d end up with 65,000 miles for a total of $1,513.13 or 2.3 cents per miles. As with any buy miles promo, do the math and figure out if the option to buy miles makes more sense than trying to rack them up any other way, and whether the redemptions you’re interested in using those miles for make sense in terms of value. Allow 72 hours for purchased AAdvantage miles to post to the designated AAdvantage account and up to 5 days for the bonus miles to post.

Save with InterContinental Hotels Group in the Caribbean: InterContinental Hotels Group is offering customers 25% savings when they book their next trip to the Caribbean or Latin America. This deal is available through their Discover Latin America & Caribbean package which includes a 25% discount, when booking at least 4 nights, buffet breakfast for two adults and children staying in the same room, and a 4 pm late check-out (based on availability). This offer is good for stays through September 15th that are booked by August 30.

Earn Bonus Elevate Points with Mandarin Oriental: Virgin America has teamed up with Mandarin Oriental to offer Elevate members the opportunity to earn bonus Elevate points when staying with Mandarin Oriental. Now through August 30, Elevate members will earn 400 bonus points for each of their first two stays. To receive the points, make sure to include your Elevate number at check-in. 500 Free Rapid Rewards Points from Dish Network: Dish Network has teamed up with Southwest Airlines to offer Rapid Rewards members the chance to earn some bonus miles. The main offer they have is 12,500 Rapid Rewards points when you sign-up for new service. However, they are also offering 500 Rapid Rewards points just for filling out their information form. The bonus points should post to your account within 8-10 weeks after submitting the questionnaire. While 500 points won't get you a free flight, every point counts and they will keep your account active for another 24 months.
