Editor's Note

This is a recurring post, regularly updated with new information and offers.

Qatar Airways is one of our favorite airlines here at TPG — and the airline launched two cobranded credit cards with Cardless back in May.

These cards offer an easy way to earn Avios with Qatar Airways and earn elite status with Qatar Airways Privilege Club.

Both Qatar Airways credit cards are offering a limited-time bonus through the end of the year. The offers are worth considering if you've been on the fence about getting either card, so let's dive in.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Signature Credit Card

The lower-tier Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Signature Credit Card is currently offering new cardholders up to 60,000 bonus Avios. They'll earn 30,000 Avios after the first transaction and another 30,000 after spending $3,000 within the first 90 days of account opening.

These 60,000 Avios are worth $840, according to TPG's December 2024 valuations.

This offer is only valid for new accounts opened and issued between Nov. 15 and Dec. 31.

THE POINTS GUY

New and existing cardholders also receive a spending multiplier on bonus categories through the end of the year. They'll earn double Avios on dining and other eligible purchases. Cardholders will receive 4 points per dollar spent on restaurant purchases and 2 points per dollar spent on all other purchases.

The card carries a $99 annual fee and comes with benefits such as automatic Silver status with Qatar Airways Privilege Club during your first year and the ability to earn 2 Qpoints for every $2,000 spent.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Infinite Credit Card

The higher-tier Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Infinite Credit Card is currently offering new cardholders up to 80,000 bonus Avios. They'll earn 40,000 Avios after the first transaction and an additional 40,000 Avios plus 150 Qpoints after spending $5,000 within the first 90 days of account opening.

These 80,000 Avios are worth $1,120, according to TPG's December 2024 valuations.

Similar to the Qatar Visa Signature Card, this offer is only valid for new accounts opened and issued between Nov. 15 and Dec. 31.

THE POINTS GUY

The card also has a spending multiplier for new and existing cardholders through the end of the year — 6 points per dollar spent on restaurant purchases and 2 points per dollar spent on all other purchases.

This card earns 5 points per dollar spent on all Qatar Airways purchases and 2 Qpoints for every $1,500 spent.

The card has a hefty $499 annual fee, comes with Visa Infinite perks and new cardholders receive Privilege Club Gold (equivalent to Oneworld Sapphire) during their first year. It's worth noting that if you already have Gold status, you'll get an additional year of membership starting from the day you're accepted for the card.

By getting this card, you can effectively buy Gold status with the program for $499 a year, and that's before factoring in its welcome bonus and earning rates. In addition, with the 150 Qpoints in the welcome offer, you'll also be 25% of the way to Platinum status (equivalent to Oneworld Emerald), which requires 600 Qpoints in a 12-month period to qualify.

Cardholders also receive up to $600 in business/first class and up to $300 in economy on every round-trip award flight as reimbursement for reward fees (which increased in price in September). Cardholders must spend $15,000 during their first year of card membership and $25,000 the subsequent years to be eligible for this benefit. After completing all flights, the reward fee waiver will be refunded to your credit card.

This benefit also applies to the Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Signature Credit Card.

The information for the Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Infinite Card has been collected independently by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

Bottom line

Both cards are offering a good chunk of Avios in addition to bonus category multipliers on restaurants and other purchases through the end of the year. Keep in mind the multipliers are only active until the end of the year, so apply as soon as you can if you wish to take advantage of building up your Avios.

Both cards offer solid perks, so the question is whether you can justify the extra $400 in annual fees for the Qatar Airways Visa Infinite. The complimentary Gold status on the Visa Infinite version has a strong value proposition, so if you frequently fly with American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Qatar Airways or their partners, this card might be worth picking up.
