Imagine the legs of a Kraken emerging from the Colosseum in Rome; a snowboarder sliding down the rails of London's Tower Bridge; a young Leonardo DiCaprio cradling Christ the Redeemer Jack-and-Rose-style in Rio de Janeiro (pictured below). Rich McCor, an artist who goes by Paperboyo on Instagram, has brought all of these scenes to life on his account, using clever paper cutouts to transform the way we see some of the world's most recognizable landmarks.

McCor clearly has an eye for unique vantage points, growing his Instagram following to more than 265 thousand with his witty, humorous and often pop-culture themed photos of familiar places.

After a few posts, McCor's talent was eventually discovered by Lonely Planet, who reached out on Instagram and asked to take some photos for them. Soon after, his work went viral. You can see more of McCor's creative cutout masterpieces on his Instagram page.
