Low-cost Norse Atlantic Airways adds LA-Paris route
Soon you can fly from the City of Angels to the City of Light for cheaper than ever.
Ultra-low-cost carrier Norse Atlantic Airways on Wednesday announced a new nonstop route between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
The new route, which begins on May 1, 2024, will operate six days a week in each direction. Flights depart from LAX at 9:10 p.m. local time, arriving in Paris at 5 p.m. the next day, while the westbound flights depart Paris at 4:15 p.m., arriving in Los Angeles at 7:05 p.m. the same day.
Paris is Norse's third destination from Los Angeles, complementing London Gatwick Airport (LGW) and Oslo Airport (OSL) in Norway.
Fares start at $279 each way, though the cheapest fares tend to book up quickly.

Norse, which replaces the low-cost transatlantic business that Norwegian Air expanded before the coronavirus pandemic, began flying in June 2022 with plans to expand point-to-point service between European and U.S. cities.
The airline uses a fleet of Boeing 787 aircraft with both standard and premium economy seats.
Thanks to its low-cost business model, the airline's fares are often cheap. However, the carrier charges extra for everything from carry-on bags to food and drinks, so it's important to be strategic when taking advantage of any great prices.
