The summer is rapidly coming to a close (or already has for many of us), and it's been a wild few months. From the stunning rebound in leisure travel demand to the multitude of issues that travelers have faced, the highs and lows of 2021 have kept all of us on our heels.

That said, normality began to return this year for many readers, and there are a lot of positives to look back on as the travel industry continues to rebound from the depths of the pandemic.

Here at The Points Guy, as we gear up for the 2021 TPG Awards, we're looking to hear your own success stories — and we're giving you the chance to win a $100 gift card in the process.

Today, we're launching a new survey to collect reader stories on how travel providers created memorable experiences for you (or your loved ones) in 2021. Your submission may be used as part of our awards coverage in November, giving broader visibility to companies that have stepped up during these trying times.

Maybe it was a great flight deal that allowed you to reunite with your family, or maybe it was a hotel that went above and beyond during a time of crisis. Or maybe you opened a brand-new credit card to book that first trip since the pandemic began.

  • Open the survey by clicking on this link.
  • Provide your contact information — which will only be used for communication directly related to your submission.
  • Share some details on your current travel loyalties.
  • Tell your story in as much detail as you can.
  • Sign up for any of TPG's newsletters (if you'd like).

The survey will be open through 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday Sept. 10, 2021 — and note that you must provide your email address and share your story in order to qualify for the giveaway. However, the other information in the survey is optional.

In addition, feel free to complete the survey more than once if you have additional stories to share — the more, the merrier.

Once the deadline passes, we'll randomly select five eligible entries to receive a $100 gift card from select retailers.

There’s a lot to love about the Amex Gold. It’s a fan favorite thanks to its fantastic bonus-earning rates at restaurants worldwide and at U.S. supermarkets. If you’re hitting the skies soon, you’ll also earn bonus Membership Rewards points on travel. Paired with up to $120 in Uber Cash annually (for U.S. Uber rides or Uber Eats orders, card must be added to Uber app and you can redeem with any Amex card), up to $120 in annual dining statement credits to be used with eligible partners, an up to $84 Dunkin’ credit each year at U.S. Dunkin Donuts and an up to $100 Resy credit annually, there’s no reason that foodies shouldn’t add the Amex Gold to their wallet.
