This reflagged hotel in Hollywood has a rooftop lounge and pool with views of the Hollywood sign — and it's bookable from 39,000 Marriott points
The recently opened Hollywood Grande, which now occupies what was formerly the Thompson Hollywood, is set in the heart of Los Angeles' entertainment district, with midcentury design touches that channel a bygone era. The hotel features 190 guest rooms, including 16 suites — along with a rooftop lounge and a pool — all set across 11 stories, the hotel shared with TPG.
Guests are welcomed by the trellis-covered entrance, which leads to a lobby complete with a custom terrazzo floor, warm wood tones and plenty of greenery. A terrazzo-topped bar will serve up coffee, cocktails and bites.

The midcentury modern-inspired rooms combine vintage design with contemporary touches thanks to terrazzo bathrooms, funky pendant lighting, rainfall showers, floor-to-ceiling windows and smart TVs. Travelers are treated to Salt & Stone amenities along with curated honor bars.

Head to the roof for a cocktail or locally sourced seafood and crudites paired with sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills and the Hollywood Sign at Bar Lis and The Terrace at Bar Lis.

At night, the rooftop will host a mix of vintage and modern DJ sets (it has welcomed famous DJs like Diplo, Jamie Jones and Kaytranada in the past), while the pool will serve as the perfect place to unwind in the sun during the day.

According to searches conducted by TPG, rates start as low as $243 or 39,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night. The hotel also welcomes pets with a nonrefundable pet fee of $150 per stay.
Marriott Bonvoy's Autograph Collection is considered a premium hotel brand and counts more than 330 hotels in its portfolio, including many across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In the Los Angeles area, there are several other Autograph Collection hotels, including Hotel Per La, Sandbourne Santa Monica and Westdrift Manhattan Beach.
Travelers who stay at The Hollywood Grande will be able to earn and redeem Marriott Bonvoy points during their stay, as well as access perks of the loyalty program, depending on their elite status level.
