Exclusive: Silicon Valley is getting a high-tech new hotel with AI assistants and a rooftop beehive
Sunnyvale, California — the beating heart of Silicon Valley — is getting a new social-forward hotel that's sure to be one of the tech hub's new social centers.
M Social Hotel Sunnyvale, part of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, is now taking reservations for stays in December forward.
"M Social Hotel Sunnyvale brings together the energy of Silicon Valley and the ease of California living," Jakub Skyvara, the hotel's general manager, told TPG.

Once open, the hotel will offer 263 guest rooms and suites with a modern aesthetic and playful touches, providing a "residential counterbalance" to "support both productivity and relaxation for business travelers, extended stays, and leisure guests alike," according to a statement about the property.
The hotel will also offer plenty of public areas for getting work done, making new connections or simply kicking back and taking it easy.
"Guests can gather over live-fire cooking and shareable dishes at Beast & Butterflies, linger in our courtyard or come together for an event in the Quantum Ballroom, with its dramatic LED video wall," Skyvara told TPG.

At Beast & Butterflies, modern Californian fare is on the menu, including ingredients from local farms and partnerships with nearby wineries and breweries. Or if you'd rather just grab a drink and lounge, ctrl+B(ar) serves up coffee, cocktails and those same local beverages in a connected, social setting.
This M Social Hotel is all about social connections, yes, but it's also big on tech connections and has a "connected smart-building ecosystem designed to enhance convenience, efficiency, and sustainability," according to the statement. That means mobile room keys, self-service check-in kiosks, robotic service assistants and even an in-room AI assistant.

"Our philosophy is simple," said Skyvara, "technology should remove friction; people should create memories. We want the stay to feel effortless and the welcome to feel personal, whether you're checking in for a week or joining us for dinner."
The property also offers an abundance of conference, meeting and event spaces, perfect for groups looking to get together in the world's most important tech hub.
"There's an international outlook here, alongside a strong local sense of community," Skyvara said about Sunnyvale, who suggests that spending time outside, especially on a bike, is a great way to explore the city "beyond the company campuses."
But that's not all: "There's also a detail I love: our rooftop beehive. In a place known for technology, it's a reminder that nature and connection have a place here, too."
For points and miles enthusiasts, the free MyMillennium loyalty program allows guests to earn and burn points for stays, dining credits and more.
M Social Hotel Sunnyvale joins a growing number of locations, including Singapore, Paris, multiple New York locations and more.

"Expanding the brand's global collection, M Social Hotel Sunnyvale marks M Social's first presence on the U.S. West Coast, carrying its distinctive spirit to the heart of Silicon Valley," said Skyvara.
M Social Hotel Sunnyvale opens in mid-December with cash rates starting as low as $239 per night.
